At JSR, our Pre-Kindy to Kindy program offers a warm, play-based start to learning. From age three, children grow in confidence, creativity and communication in a caring environment. We nurture curiosity, friendships and independence, supporting each child to explore, discover and thrive as they begin their school journey.

Pre Primary and Year 1
At JSR, our Vision for Learning comes to life through hands-on, real-world experiences in and beyond the classroom. In Pre-Primary, children are encouraged to explore and engage, while in Year 1, they are supported through a time of change and sparking curiosity about the world around them. Within a welcoming, inclusive community, every child is known, valued and inspired to grow.

Our Vision for Learning
JSR’s Early learning Vision for Learning outlines the knowledge, behaviours and capabilities students develop to thrive in a changing world. Through six key dimensions, students learn how to learn, build independence and confidently contribute to their communities and future.
Out of School Care (OSC)
We understand that regular school hours don’t always align with work and family commitments. The onsite Out of School Care (OSC) and Vacation Care programs at JSR provide a safe, engaging and supportive environment for children from Pre‑Kindergarten to Year 6, outside of standard school hours.
Our Pre Kindy Program
Our Pre-Kindy program is designed for children aged three and offers a warm, play-based introduction to learning. Through meaningful experiences, children develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. The program is available to families enrolled in Kindy the following year, with no direct entry to Pre-Kindy. Children must turn three by 30 June and be toilet independent.
JSR Playgroup
At JSR, our family‑run playgroup for children aged 0–4 years operates every Friday during term time from 8.45 –10.30am. Through play‑based activities, children learn, explore and develop important social and early learning skills in a welcoming environment.
