We understand that choosing the right school is one of the most important investments you will make with, and for your child.
With that in mind, we have made joining our learning community as streamlined as possible. From booking a tour to explore our school to registering your interest in enrolling, booking an interview and completing the Application Form, you can complete it all online.

Enrolment FAQ
Is the Acceptance Fee deducted from School Fees?
No. The Acceptance Fee is a non-refundable payment that confirms the applicant's acceptance of an Offer at JSR.
Can I enrol in the Pre Kindy Program
The Pre-Kindergarten Program is only available to students who have enrolled to attend Kindergarten at JSRACS.
Regulations prevent us from enrolling a child until after they have turned 3 years old, and the child’s birthday must occur before 30 June in the year of the child’s attendance at Pre-Kindergarten. Some conditions apply, including the child being able to toilet themselves, with support available through the Pre-Kindergarten staff.
What documents are required for enrolment?
Registration of Interest in Enrolment Form – completed and signed.
- Payment of $40 Registration of Interest Fee
- Birth Certificate
- Immunisation History Statement
- Where applicable, your child's latest NAPLAN results and last two school reports.
- Visa Documentation validating residency status if the student is not an Australian Citizen.
What is the waiting list priority?
Our waitlist priority is based on the date order in which applications are received. There are some exceptions to this rule, as siblings of current students are given first priority.
Please note that places are offered subject to availability in the year requested. Therefore, we encourage families to lodge their Application as soon as they feel comfortable with JSRACS as their school of choice.
Do we need to be religious in order to attend?
Applications are open to students of all cultures and religions. Our School embraces our diversity and respects the views, values and traditions of others. We are fortunate that our school offers many opportunities to understand and share in understanding our vibrant diversity of cultures, with Religion and Values included within the core curriculum.
When are interviews held?
- Interviews for KG are conducted during the first Semester of the year prior to entry
- Interviews for Y7 are conducted during the first Semester, 2 years prior to entry.
- Not all children on the waitlist are interviewed; we only interview enough students to fill the positions available.
- All acceptances (of non-siblings) to the school are subject to a satisfactory interview with the Principal.
What Scholarships are available?
We offer several scholarships for students currently attending a school other than JSR.
Academic Scholarships and Basketball Scholarships are open at the beginning of every year, and close at the end of Term 1 to allow for academic testing and the Basketball trials. Specific application dates can be found on our Scholarship page linked below.
Our Community and Leadership Scholarships are open year round.
Does my child need to be Immunised?
New legislation pertaining to the Public Health Act 2016 and School Education Act 1999 states that from 22 July 2019, a child’s Immunisation status must be ‘up to date’ according to their AIR Immunisation History Statement. This statement must not be more than two months old.
Please note: The only acceptable documentation for this purpose is the child’s Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
You can access your child’s AIR Immunisation History Statements any time through: MyGov; Medicare Express Plus App; Visiting a Medicare or Centrelink office, or by calling the AIR General Enquiries Line on 1800 653 809 to request the statement be posted to you.
Please note: Children aged 14 years and over must request their own AIR Immunisation History Statement.
What is the age of entry?
We are bound by the Education Department's guidelines regarding the age of entry. For example, a child should be 4 years old by 30 June to be eligible for enrolment into Kindergarten.
Students must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents or have a valid Visa. If a child is born in Australia, but both parents are born overseas, documentation validating residency status is also required. This can be in the form of an Australian Passport, Australian Citizen Certificate or proof of parents’ citizenship/permanent residency at the time of the child’s birth.
Please note: International Students are enrolled through AngliSchools International.
