Community Scholarship
About the Scholarship
John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School (JSR) is pleased to offer Community Scholarships for students in Year 6 and Year 10 who show exceptional leadership qualities, who lead by doing and have a heart for their communiuty. These scholarships are for students who currently do not attend JSR.
These scholarships have been named in honour of two men who have been instrumental cattalists in the JSR community. They both have a heart for the JST community and have worked tirtelessly to support the school and the people within it.
Mr Terry Hann was a member of the JSR staff from 1995 to 2011, serving many roles within the School Community, including Acting Director of Curriculum, Assistant Principal for the Senior School, Dean of Students and Deputy Principal.
Mr Hann has always displayed genuine care and concern for students and their families, often giving of his own personal time, and means, as support for these families. After 16 years of distinguished service, Mr Hann retired from the School in 2011.
Mr David Hill was a member of the JSR staff from 2003 to 2016, serving many roles within the School Community, including Deputy Principal and Assistant Principal for the Senior School.
While serving the School community in these roles, Mr Hill worked tirelessly to support the goals and dreams of thousands of children, ensuring that they were well equipped for the challenges of life outside of the School.
Mr Hill has also served on the School Council as both a member, and the Chair of Council.


Scholarship Application
Terry Hann Scholarship
Awarded to 20 students currently enrolled in Year 6, at a school other than JSR. This Scholarship provides for 50% remission of tuition fees at JSR for Year 7 through to Year 12.
David Hill Scholarship
Awarded to 10 students currently enrolled in Year 10, at a school other than JSR. This Scholarship provides for 50% remission of tuition fees at JSR for Year 11 and Year 12.
